ELF Open House
Date: 11 June 2005 (does this blog put date for me already?)
Okay.. today was my first CCA @ poly session. Well, not really a session, it was an open house. Basically it was something like Adventure Training Facilities (ATF) in Basic Training Course Adventure Training Camp (BTC ATC). FLying Fox, high rope elements, low elements. Ops.. forgot to say what is the name of the CCA i had joined. It is called Experiential Learning Facilitators (ELF).
Yeah.. basically that was my day. Got slightly burnt, feeling exhausted but thrilled. Met a few very interesting people from other schools and the ELFs. After that was a short walk to the Bedok Jetty where they had the National Dragonboat Competition (?).
Sadly, by the time i got there, everyone was leaving. No, everyone had left. Leaving a few groups still gathering and cheering for this success/failure. Nevertheless, still managed to meet SQ at the busstop before i went home. Think he was shocked to see me.
Anyway, when i reached home i was reminded that tomorrow i had another action-packed, back-to-back day in less than 12 hours. Notes for the standardisation meeting i had not photocopied yet, i had just sent out a reminder for the meeting via sms. I think my this month Handphone bill will skyrocket. Me no money. Dammit.
Anyway, all these aside, there are still some good things to look forward to, yeah? Like the unit campfire, submitting of my Probationary Form, my sec 2 Xtra training and the upcoming LMS Course which i still have to plan a meeting, for all the instructors going, on the 19 of June 2005.
Well, i guess that is life. Its either you do it, or no one else does it.
If not you, who?
If not here, where?
If not now, when?
Thanks for the inspiration cH, who had given it to me last year when i was training for the bi-annual Inter-unit Campcraft Competition.
If you can’t, you’re right
