UNITE

A simple keychain. A sunny day. A cardboard on my head. A pedal-kart. A day of fun. A day of cheering and pedaling. A day of smiles. A big field under my feet. A line up before the race. A short cut on the grass. A smile that can never be on again. A smile that is in the past. Under a clear blue sky with white clouds. At Marina Bay.

Bonded by chance and fate. Seperated by time and distance.

Sand & Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking
through the desert.  During some point of the journey they had an
argument,
and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got
slapped was hurt,
but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis,
where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got
stuck in
the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,
"After i hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write
on a stone, why?" The other friend replied:

"When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds
of forgiveness can erase it away.
But, when someone does something good for us,
we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN
STONE.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Leadership is obtained through following, learning and practicing.

Often, many people want to be incharge, want to be the man/woman of the show. Want to be someone important. But when something wrong happens, all will either back down or push the blame.

Leadership is not just about leading, but of setting examples and knowing when is the time to step back and be a follower.

the wind swept me off my feet…. and i fell down

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

It was that sizzling hot afternoon where i walked by that spot. With the wind blowing my tail, making it slap against my leg, and my bottle bouncing slightly with every right step i took.

My eyes glanced over. That special place in the sand.

They were commenting how romantic it was. I agreed silently in my mind. They were complaining how hot it was. I agreed on that too.

I remembered that day clearly. Well, not as clear as yesterday, or the day before. But i remember it. I remembered the feeling that made me stop. I remembered the hesistation that bound me then.

I suddenly recall how windy it was that day. The same wind now. But a different situation.

I suppose we all regret in life. I regretted then. I am regretting now.

We all move on in life. Perhaps i did.

No.

I did move on in life.

I did not look at the spot even though i walked past it again for another 3 times in 48 hours.

With my regret locked away, i looked forward. I’ll try harder next time. I’ll try to worry abt the problems when they come.

I’ll try to live life.

No.

I must live life.

To the fullest.
